The living area is done in neutral colors and has a cozy sofa and a flat-screen TV. Like the rest of the interiors, this part of the villa is also air-conditioned and has a ceiling fan. A typical Koh Samui villa rental often has a modern kitchen. At Baan Kluay Mai, the kitchen is fully equipped and features specially designed cupboards, a fridge, a conventional oven, a microwave, and a multi-burner stove. The sink is spacious and the counter makes meal preparations a lot easier.
Baan Kluay Mai is recommended for a medium-sized family and can also be shared among friends or couples. It is such a lovely island retreat with a housekeeper, a chef, and a number of services that will make your stay on the island practically stress-free. This lovely villa is very close to the beach and is the ideal haven for guests who are interested in water sports like kitesurfing, wakeboarding, and fishing. It is also the perfect playground for those who cannot get enough of the beach but want something cheaper than beachfront villas.

This villa is as good, maybe better, than the pictures. We had a beautiful family holiday here in June/July 2014. It's a little tropic retreat, away from all the rush of life, perfect place to relax. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all large, with plenty of storage room and good air conditioning. The beds are really comfortable, and the light blocking curtains are brilliant for letting you have a good nights sleep. We had one extra bed so the villa accommodated 7 people. The dining room and lounge are also spacious, and it's lovely to be surrounding by the gardens and pool outside. The kitchen has got be the most well stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a holiday rental. We enjoyed lots of meals here, and the large fridge and freezer was great for keeping fresh food on site for everyone. With the pool being in the middle of the villa, the kids could spend all their time in there, and someone was always close by to watch. The staff made the place, nothing was to much trouble. Organising cars and drivers, finding pool toys, and organising the most delicious meals. Lee, the housekeeper was so lovely making us breakfast each morning, and noticing what our favourite foods were. She is the most incredible cook, and even gave us a cooking class. I now have a new standard for Thai food, and a love for Mango sticky rice. There was a fantastic massage place down on the main road, more expensive than in Chaweng ( still under $15), but so worth it. When we wanted to eat out but just walk we would head over to the X2 resort, food and happy hour was good, and barely anyone there. The other places on the main roads were also good, clearly as the locals were eating there. The beach is only 100 metres away, you would have to walk way out to swim, but a little bit down the beach is the most beautiful sandy beach to walk on - plenty of people having wedding celebrations there. Get a car and you won't feel isolated, but there is really not a need to leave. While it's slightly isolated, we felt very safe, as a couple of other villas are next door, expats live up the road, and a primary school is a block away. Cons The bad weather the week before meant there was no longer fish in the ponds. Not really a big deal.“jessica”
