Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day and whether you are an early riser or sleep your way til almost lunch time, here are Koh Samui restaurants that serve impressive morning meals that you can visit.

Bar Baguette Restaurant

Open: 7am-11pm
Address: The Wharf Samui, Bophut, Ko Samui 84320, Thailand

If you are a night owl and have a habit of waking up late while on a holiday, you can catch your “breakfast” regardless of the time you choose to leave your bed if you visit Bar Baguette. They serve all day breakfast and cafe style meals. They are also popular for their organic dishes and vegan friendly choices. A stellar item on their menu is the salmon avocado bruschetta. This has a creamy mashed avocado and yummy salmon served on perfectly toasted bread. They also have a good selection of hot and cold coffee, salads, sandwiches and cakes. Actually if you like a slice of cake or a cup of ice cream for breakfast, you can get that here too.

Among the things we adore about Bar Baguette is its stunning location at the Fisherman’s Wharf as well as its casual and European chic feel. It is an ideal spot to chill with friends, get a decent cup of coffee and have bacon and eggs no matter what time of the day. A unique treat you must try at Bar Baguette is the espresso served over coconut ice cream. The combination is interesting, kinda like a deconstructed bulletproof coffee but way better. Bar Baguette also sells excellent Danish style pastries, croissants, cookies, tarts, macarons, and so much for so if you feel like taking something home, you can. If you don’t feel like eating heavy in the morning but want something nutritious, you can try their cold pressed juices. These are bottled so you can grab your pick and go. These are perfect for those who are in a hurry and have no time for a sit-down meal.

For those who are in Lamai, a cozy breakfast venue is Samui Sausages. This place serves British style breakfast and is perfect for those who are dining with kids and who are on a budget. The owner used to be a butcher so he really pulls all the stops to make sure that the meat used for their sausages are only of high quality. Aside from their meat and perfectly cooked sausages, they also serve hearty homemade pies. The place is pretty basic but has a Wi-Fi. Their food is amazing though and what they lack in ambience, they make up for what they put on your plate.

If you want to fill your tummy for a day of Koh Samui activities, dine here. They make the best sunny side up eggs, bacon, and they also have scotch eggs too. Their Full English Breakfast is to die for. Make sure you try it. If you have a big appetite, maybe you want to join the Samui Sausage Breakfast Challenge. This plate is huge and is filled to the brim with bacon, eggs, toasts, beans, and sausages. It is not an easy feat but you could be the one to beat the record.

About Cafe’ Koh Samui

Address: 160/1 Moo 1 | Koh Samui, Mae Nam, Ko Samui 84330, Thailand
Phone: 0066815844887

If you are staying in Maenam, a quirky cafe that is oozing with character and also serves yummy breakfast is About Cafe’. This is an unassuming hole in the wall but is a good stop if you want to have good food at great prices. Here you can have a freshly made omelette, golden waffles, sandwiches, and coffee of course.

The cafe is a like a craft store. It certainly has that vibe. However, the place is not that big and is often packed so if you have a big group, this is not really ideal. However if you are just dining by yourself or with your loved one and you just want a simple breakfast with a decent cup of coffee, About Cafe’ won’t disappoint. They serve porridge, homemade yogurt, banana roti, bacon, and other options for breakfast.
